There isn’t anything in this world more important than the people that make up your family. They define us. Beautiful images are made by the people in them, not the location, or the weather, or the clothes they wear. My approach to family photography is different. I take real photos, of real life, capturing real moments. My sessions aren’t directed, posed, or awkward. I take images of family life that’s unscripted, raw and unique.

Life is hectic, it flashes by in a blink of an eye. Precious moments are easily lost within the whirlwind of everyday life. I can capture these moments and freeze them in time for you to relive in years to come. Because memories are life’s greatest treasure.

Memories Are Life’s Greatest Treasure

When I was young, I would sit for hours looking through the family photo albums. Even though I had seen all the pictures a million times, it never got old. The problem with today is that we take all our photos on our phones, and although they are great to look at, a mobile phone won’t stand the test of time. There’s nothing like having tangible beautiful photos of you and your family together.

I take photos because when I am old, I want to remember my family as they were. These frozen moments in time are for me to hand down for generations to come. I once heard someone say “photos are like a bottle of wine you have to let them sit for a while, and then, they get better with age”. In 30 years’ time you can look back at the photos that I shot for you, and they are going to be invaluable. Your photos, your albums, your legacy.

I’m a documentary family photographer based in East Lancashire.

I am a mother, a wife, and a hamster owner! I love to listen to dance and R&B, I’m delighted when lasagne is on the menu, and I love a good Netflix binge when the kids have gone to bed!

I’m friendly, easy-going and I like to have fun. As a parent just like you, I get it, life is hectic! It’s totally fine if your pile of washing is getting out of control, your kids are refusing to brush their hair, or your smallest one is in meltdown mode. I’ve been there! I’m great at capturing the good, the bad, and the ugly, it’s real life after all. From infectious laughs, to cosy cuddles, and horrendous tantrums, I’ve seen it all!
