There isn’t anything that compares to the feelings you get when reminiscing over old photographs. How you looked, how you felt, how you were.

When I was young, I would sit for hours looking through my family photo albums, and even though I had seen all the pictures a million times, they never got old. The problem with today is that we take all our pictures on our mobile phones, and although technology is great, phones won’t stand the test of time. There’s nothing like having tangible beautiful prints of you and your family together.

I take photographs because when I am older, I want to remember. I want to remember these frozen moments in time and relive memories that may otherwise be forgotten. I want to show our story to our children, and my children’s children, and their children’s children. Because as we grow old our memories fade, but photos last a lifetime.

I once heard someone say “Photos are like a bottle of wine, you have to let them sit for a while. And then over time, they get better with age”. In 30 years’ time you can look back at the photos that we have made, and they are going to be priceless. Your photos, your albums, your legacy. Because memories are life’s greatest treasure. They are truly invaluable.
